My instance upgraded from #Hubzilla
3.6.x to 3.8.8 this past week. In the process, my account got deleted from the point of view of #Friendica
. In particular, my connected Friendica and Diaspora accounts no longer show email@example.com as a connection, and if I ask them to search for that account within the #Federation
, it says there is no such user.
I did discover that my Hubzilla account post-upgrade had all of its apps reset. Once I added the Diaspora and ActivityPub apps back, my Friendica account was able to find and re-add a connection to my Hubzilla account. My problem is that all of my Diaspora and Friendica friends won't know to do this. From their perspective, I vaporized off the face of the Federation.
Is there any way to restore my friends' connections to my Hubzilla account? (That is, short of me manually dropping and re-adding them from my end and hoping they do the same back.)
