I've never tried switching a Hubzilla clone to be a primary, but I've got a little time today so today is gonna be the day to try. FYI for those of you who are still getting my posts, you may get a connection request from email@example.com.
Background: I've been on hub.disroot.org since August. I've found a number of bugs that Mike Macgirvin has fixed but I don't have access to because the instance has been at a backlevel version, plus the instance often times out with 502s and 504s. I would post and interact more often without these issues. So, I've been hoping that Disroot would upgrade to the latest version. Well, they finally did this week! Unfortunately, now my posts aren't federating out on any platform besides Hubzilla--not even to Osada. On top of it, my Friendica and Diaspora accounts seem to have forgotten their connection with my Hubzilla account and can no longer even find an firstname.lastname@example.org account out in the Federation. Let's see how this clone switching thing works.
