Nineteen years ago today, I was sitting in a community centre in Leasowe, Wirral. UK.
When, i heard a sudden flurry of people gasping & crying!
I looked up from my computer screen & saw everyone gathered around a large television, that was hanging on the wall in the main hall.
Needless to say, it was
September 11th 2001.
Today, almost two decades on my believe has never changed, waivered or altered from my initial 'gut' feeling on that sunny September day in New York, nor in fact from my computer screen in a wet and windy Wirral.
Now, my computer is smaller and mobile devices even have touchscreens! - my view is no longer one of concrete jungles, urban decay and deprivation. However I am all too aware that for very many in this world, this is not the case. In fact, i believe it to be worse.
While today we are encouraged to remember the dead. I wholeheartedly believe, individually, collectively & collaboratively we ALL need to remember the living.
9/11 was an inside job.#
